The objective of this video is to:

  • Describe the indications for oxygen therapy
  • Enlist the key points to be considered during oxygen administration
  • Demonstrate the methods of oxygen administration in adults
  • Raise awareness about various guidelines (BTS, WHO and NHS) to be followed while administering oxygen

    1. Introduction of the course

      This module on Oxygen Administration deals with the various aspects of oxygen therapy in an adult client.

       

      The module is divided into three parts:

    Part A- Introduction
    1. This part of the module on Oxygen administration deals with the introduction to oxygen therapy, purpose, its indications, contraindications and types of devices used.

    Part B- Modes of Administration
    1. This part of the module on Oxygen administration deals with the modes of administration of oxygen using low and medium oxygen concentration devices its purpose and steps of administration.


    Part C-Modes of Administration-Fixed devices
    1. This part of the module on Oxygen administration deals with the modes of administration of oxygen using fixed oxygen concentration devices its purpose and steps of administration.
